发生在中国远古时代的创世神话并不是人类发展过程中的昙花一现，它是中国人类精神童年的神话，正是因为有了这些远古的创世神话，人类才开始从原始的茫昧无知进入了一个文明的世界，逐渐步向了有文字的历史时代。中国的创世神话是原始人类在这一充满新事物和新气象的历史时期里慢慢催发的原始文化的精神蓓蕾，虽然今天已经是个没有神话的时代，但是这些上古神话在后来的时代和后来的人类心中一直呈现着一种“永恒的魅力”。创世神话是人类口头传承的原始文化的结晶，它的起源、发展和人类语言的发展、叙事能力的增长是同步并进的，正是因为有了这些古老的创世神话，才有了我们今天的文化，可以说，创世神话是我们民族史前艺术的母胎。而对于中国的创世神话，随着时间的流逝，并非固定不变的状态，它是呈现一种不断的流动和变化的状态。目前，来看文学界关于创世神话的论坛并不是很多，本文以创世神话为主题，来浅谈一下它的产生、发展特点以及对后世的影响。
